Possible Advisory Committee on Diversity and Inclusion – City of St. Catharines
St. Catharines City Council is meeting this Monday, February 11. On the agenda is a discussion on a report recommending the establishment of a new Advisory Committee on Diversity and Inclusion.
This new committee would provide leadership and advice to City Council with regards to equity, diversity and inclusion, including the elimination of racism and discrimination.
The LGBTQ+ community has been specifically identified, among others, as one of the communities that should be included in this.
Should the report be approved on Monday night a small working group of city councillors will be working together to draft a terms of reference to get the ball rolling on putting the Advisory Committee together.
You can WATCH the live stream of the meeting on Monday starting at 6:30pm.
