In light of the ongoing transphobia in Niagara this week, we want to encourage our extended communities to find the support and care they need.

MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORT:

Trans Lifeline Hotline:

Trans Lifeline’s Hotline is a peer support phone service run by trans people for our trans and questioning peers. We believe that some of the best support that trans people can receive is from trans community members with shared lived experience.

LGBT Youthline:

Youth Line offers confidential and non-judgemental peer support through telephone, text and chat services. Get in touch with a peer support volunteer from Sunday to Friday, 4:00PM to 9:30 PM.

Pathstone Mental health:

Mental health counselling clinic for children and youth
Pathstone Crisis Support Line is an intervention service providing immediate telephone counselling. It operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for children and youth up to the age of 18 and their families.

CONNECT WITH COMMUNITY:

There are a number of social and support groups in the Niagara region. While some of their programming may be limited due to COVID-19 restrictions, they are still running activities. Reach out to them and connect.
