LGBTQ+ Newcomer series – Self-advocacy and Assertiveness
March 16 @ 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm
Free

The Niagara Folk Arts Multicultural Centre is a Community Center that offers Settlement services to Newcomers to Canada here in Niagara.
It is not uncommon for newcomers to have subpar experiences in areas like healthcare and employment. That’s why it’s no wonder some LGBTQIA+ newcomers tend to hinder vocalizing their needs fearing discrimination.
This month, we’re partnering with the YWCA of Hamilton’s 2S-LGBTQIA+ Newcomer program to host an informative, practical, and fun approach to practicing self-advocacy and assertiveness when it comes to accessing essential services.
Please don’t hesitate to register! Our staff members are here to make your experience informative and comfortable.
