OUTniagara welcomes new board members
30 October 2020 (Niagara) – At its 2020 annual general membership meeting held recently, OUTniagara voted to accept four new members to the governing board.
Elected to the post of treasurer was Stephanie Martino. Elected to director positions for two-year terms are Crystal Brzozowski, Tyler Harris, and Karen Whynot. They bring a diversity of valuable skill sets to the board.
“OUTniagara is honoured that these individuals stepped up to become involved on our board,” said president Celeste Turner. “We look forward to their future contributions working in solidarity with 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals and groups in Niagara.”
Rounding out the second year of their two-year terms are Turner, secretary Kate Alexander, and directors Sarah-Burtch-Walsh, Lorenzo Cromwell, Melissa Gray, Blake Smith, and Joan Wiley.
Turner also presented OUTniagara’s Annual Report, which can be seen here. The official audit of OUTniagara’s finances was also approved.
Representatives of several community groups also were given opportunities to talk about their organizations during the meeting.
The next regular monthly board meeting will be held virtually on Monday, Nov. 2. Members are encouraged and welcomed to join us.
