Tell OUTniagara your story

Do you have something to say or a story to tell? OUTniagara would love to hear it.

The network that unifies the sexual- and gender-diverse community of Niagara is proud to announce the launch of Humans of OUTniagara, a collection of photos and personal stories submitted by members of Niagara’s 2SLGBTQIA+ community, including allies.

We’re looking for your submission. We want funny or sad stories, coming out stories, unconventional or surprising perspectives, or entries about experiences or encounters that may have changed your life. Your story must be true, not fictional. For ideas, visit: Humans of New York.

Because of the sensitive nature of this feature, submissions may be made anonymously. Photos (including selfies) do not necessarily have to be of your face. A tattoo, a favourite hat, a section of your face, a shadow, your shoes, and so on —would be considered acceptable.

Stories should be no more than 300 words in length. OUTniagara reserves the right to edit for spelling, grammar, punctuation, and length; we will make every effort to retain your voice.

By submitting a story, you give permission to OUTniagara to post your story on its website and social media sites.

Please submit your entry to info@outniagara.ca and type “Humans of OUTniagara” in the message line. Your submission should be attached as a document, plus copied and pasted into the body of the email.

We look forward to hearing your stories, getting to know you better, and building our community.
